Joslynn

I finally feel at peace with Joslynn's passing. I hate saying "finally" but I can not think of any other way of putting it. I will always miss her deeply and wonder how she would do in life and what she would be interested in what she would look like and will always love her. But last night while I was saying my prayers and I love you's to Joslynn I got this over whelming sense of peace and felt the Spirit so strongly that I knew in my heart that she was ok and I could start moving forward in my life. And more importantly I would be ok. Even though lots of things have happened since she passed I have never really moved on. It has almost been like I am standing in the middle of everything while things are just buzzing by. I know that Heavenly Father has things in store for us that we will never know the reasons for. But I also know that He will always be there for us. I am so grateful for the Gospel and everything it offers. I am so happy to know that even though Joslynn is not with us anymore I know that we will be together again as we are an eternal family.

I also wanted to share some special things about her with all of you. She had the biggest brown eyes ever and they would light up the room as soon as she stepped into it. She had the funniest laugh. It was not even a laugh. It was more like a sigh but over and over again. She was so smart. She knew how to do her ring stacker and would get so excited when ever she did. She loved running around naked, well in her diaper. She also was and has been the only 1yr old I have ever seen dunk her head in the bath tub. She would do it and immediately lift her head up, look at me and give me this look like "did you see that mom?". She loved bubble baths and playing with bubbles outside. She loved watching The Doodle Bops on playhouse Disney. She only watched it a couple times as I did not have the tv on much. But when I would have it on and would change the channel (that show drove me NUTS) she would start to cry and come over to me and look at the remote like saying "turn it back mom". She love, love, loved her blankies I can remember one of her very few temper tantrums was because she saw me put one of her blankies (she had 3) into the dryer. She was so upset. The funny part was there was another one 3 feet away from her in our living room. :) She was such an awesome baby from the time she was born. She was sleeping through the night at 6wks old. She never cried, and she was always so happy. Did you know kids can be piggie banks? Well at least Joslynn could be. See, my nephew Malaki came down to spend the week with my mom and us. My mom gave him some change before dropping him off here. Well it must had fallen out of his pocket because the week after he left Joslynn got sick. After an x-ray they said there was a penny and a dime and they would pass, yay me right? Well 1wk later they still had not passed. We went and got another x-ray. Well Mommy or Daddy must had missed them because they had passed but she had 3 new coins 2 more pennies and another dime!! Well needless to say I checked her room thoroughly later that same night and found a stash of change in her "secret compartments" of one of her toys. She had an additional 2quarters, 3dimes, 2nickles and 3pennies. I guess she thought that we were not saving enough money for her. She did pass those last 3 and they are on the wall in her room with her x-ray. Something I think is just to funny is that she would not like me and Arli play hitting, pinching, tickling and all that stuff. Every time she would see us doing this she would stand there and scream. Oh and another thing...she was scarred of Daddy when he would wear sun glasses. It was so funny. She loved her cousins. She loved playing with them and getting all the attention from them. They all treated her so well and miss her so much. She loved her aunts too:) And especially loved their attention. They would ALWAYS hold her and never let her cry. She loved her uncle too. Other than Daddy that was the only man she would smile at. For some reason she did not like men other than her Daddy. And her Nannie, well that is

a
whole nother story. Nannie had her wrapped around her little finger. Every time Nannie would come over she would run to her and not want her to go. She loved her Nannie days. She loved all of us so much. She loved her grandpa when he came out. I have not seen my Dad with to many babies but he was so wonderful with her. She thought he was the best thing ever.

We all miss her so much and love her to pieces. It has been a long and very hard 2yrs for all of us. But I know everyone will get through it and eventually come to peace as I have with her death. Ironically this picture to the right was taken only 6days before she passed away. She was going to be an angel for Halloween. And she was, just not in the way we intended.

1st Day of Nursery

Today was AJ's first day of nursery. He had a blast. He had no problem going in I just opened the door and off he went. Then I checked in on him after Sunday school and he got so up set. I will not do that again. He loved it though. He especially loved the songs. I hate seeing him get so big. I can already tell I am going to be one of those moms who cry when their kids goes to kindergarten because he has no problem going off with out me.

1800

Now I have a number to beat in 2009. Cause that is how many pictures I took with my camera in 2008! I can not believe it. I am sure off to a good start in 2009. 13 so far. But we are only on day 2 of 2009 so I have all year.

Baths!!

The only one I have with both of them looking at me

Splish Splash

I love this boy

Mamma's little chunky monkey

He closed his eyes every time he splashed.

Action Shot...This is my favorite.

AJ & Erik had their 1st bath together. It was so fun AJ had a blast splashing like always and it was funny to see Erik jump every time a little drop got him. He did not cry or anything. He just was startled by it. AJ did a good job too at not getting him in the face, just his belly. We were able to try out AJ's new color fizzies. He loved them. Then the grossest thing happened....Erik pooed! Yes I could not believe it. He is not one of those babies that you can tell when they are going so I did not know it until I saw it floatin. EEEWWWW! But AJ thought it was funny and was excited even more because we were able to use a new color tablet. So my boys had 2baths with in 30min and loved every second of both of them.

Sneaky boy

The other morning AJ was being a little to quite for my taste so I go find him and he has my giant chocolate kiss! Now this was 6:30 am so you can see how my day went. He was hyper, hyper, hyper. I just had to get a pic though. This is the first time he has ever gotten into something messy on his own and being so sneaky. I just had to laugh at him though. He was so cute. How can I yell at him?

AJ's new haircut

So I was tired of AJ's hair going wild and decided to get it cut. Well Arli does not like it. But in my defense he does not like any thing but long hair and the chruch style where it is combed over. But I only like that one for church. So here it is.

Our Christmas

Daddy and erik opening Erik's stocking

AJ opening his present.

both of the boys presents

AJ's presents

Erik and his presents

We had a wonderful Christmas. The boys received loads of gifts and it was just a lazy day. I did not even cook. Luckily Carl's Jr was open so we ate there. But I think I need to start making it a tradition that after presents I make Christmas breakfast. Well brunch since this year we were done opening gifts at about 10:30 am. Like I said the boys were spoiled. Erik did not know what was going on but was super excited at looking at his toys. He is a kicker when he is happy and he was kicking away for like 10min while playing with his toys. AJ opened 1 present, wanted it out of the box and then was done. He just wanted to play with that. If I would have known that I could have just gotten him 2-3 presents. But oh well at least in our family we never throw toys away. So we will have them for a long time. Arli and I just spent about $50 on each other. Our "Christmas" presents for each other come at tax time. I am getting a $600 DSLR camera and Arli is getting a blue ray dvd player and some blue ray dvds.

Gosh darn hooligans

So yesterday one of my neighbors knocked on my door. He was telling me he knew what happened. Well it turns out it was kids! I could just scream thank goodness! I am so glad that it was not someone trying to break in. It was just hooligans throwing rocks over the wall. I could give them a beating though. I have called around for estimates and so far the cheapest one is $278! This just really sucks. It is a good thing all of my christmas shopping is done.

Wonderful day....Horrible night

Introducing Oaklie Lenea Edwards-Fisher

Born Dec. 2,2008

7lbs 10oz

AJ and Nicole going down the jump house slide. This is the only picture I got of both of them because they both did not want their picture taken yesterday.

Kaci and Oaklie

Malaki

Nalani

Ashton and Erik

So yesterday was our family's Christmas party down in Mesquite. We had a wonderful time. I was finally able to see my new niece who is a very beautiful baby girl. She is also named after me. Well she has my middle name.:) I love going down and seeing the whole family. AJ had a blast just playing in the gym and he found his favorite things there....hymn books! lol He loves these things he can sit through all of sacrament just playing with these. He did get a little beat up by we think my niece Nalani. But Emily says she does it to everyone. Erik had a good time too. He was held ALOT more than usual which he loves! And just slept. He loves his little glow seahorse he got and AJ loves his new cell phone. Arli could not make it unfortunately he had to work (I hate mandatory overtime). I had a great time too and like I said it was great seeing everyone again. It is amazing how in 6mo to a year everyone can change. My brother and his girl friend Amber rode down with us. Sorry again Amber for the ride. She was squished in between both car seats. They had a good time too. Amber was sucked in by Alanna and Kaci. But she had a good time just playing with them. They loved her especially Alanna. Kenton just played ball with the guys.

Now the horrible night. It was about 8:45 after I put AJ to bed and we were going to bed ourselves. We heard this loud crashing come from our living room. Of course we screamed because it scarred the crap out of us. We go out and our front room window is broken! I think someone tried to break in because there was no rock or anything around, and there is a bunch of glass a little bit away from the window on the other side of the side walk. But we got it all cleaned after 3hrs. I had to make sure there were no shards anywhere cause of the boys. I vacuumed for like 30min just in our living room. I hate to think of the bill this is going to be since our landlord does not pay for broken glass no matter what and BOTH pieces of glass were broken and Arli had to remove the rest of the unbroken glass so AJ would not get hurt. We did get it secured though. We put our hutch in front of the window after boarding it up. Arli was able to screw it to the wall too and then he screwed the other window shut. I know he ruined my hutch but I do not care. As long as we are safe. That thing is not antique or anything either. So now that I am scarred to death to be here alone a night I think we will be getting an alarm system. Or I can just keep one of Arli's swords by my side at all times at night.

Erik's blessing

This is a little late. But I could not get a good picture to put up of Erik in his blessing outfit till now. But Erik had his blessing on Dec.7th. A good friend Doug Nebeker gave it and it was wonderful. He did a great job. I would like to thank everyone who could come and join in this wonderful day, and a very special thank you to my mom who made his outfit.

But was done when he kept touching the snow and his hands got sooo cold. I love when it snows. It reminds me of home.

Ward Christmas Party

This year we were lucky enough to play the parts of Mary, Joseph and Jesus in our ward Christmas party. We had a wonderful time and at the end Santa came!!! I am glad that he came too, because now I know that AJ does not like him and we do not have to waste our money at the mall:) He had no problem with him giving him a present though. He went over took it and ran. It was funny. Erik liked him. He was just getting hungry so he was starting to get fussy.

Who's who??

I found these pictures of the boys each of them their first smiles. I think they look a lot alike. So my challenge to you is who is who?

Typical man and not even 2

Gotta have the magazine to read.
I'm a big kid now, well almost

So we have decided to start potty training AJ. He keeps waking up dry after bed and nap time. Not full time yet. I just put him on the potty before and after bed time and nap time. He is doing GREAT!!! He has gone pee pee about 5-6 times. I am so proud of him. But also so sad because he is getting so big.

Happy Thanksgiving

My boys

So handsome

The only one I have of him by himself. He wanted to watch T.V.

I like this one because they are both looking at me.
I just wish AJ did not have his bottle.

I know this is just a tad bit late. But Happy Thanksgiving. This year I have decided to name the things I am Thankful for.
So here they are.
I am thankful to still be alive after my traumatic delivery.

I am thankful for the time I had with Joslynn even though it was short, and can not wait for the day that I can be with her again.

I am thankful for my boys, they are the best boys in the world and I love them so much words can not even describe.

I am thankful for the fact that I have the best father, husband and most of all best friend in my life Arli.

I am thankful for the Gospel and everything it comes with. I am thankful for everything and everyone who led me to it. Looking back I do not know how I lived without it and it has only been 1yr. I am thankful for Our Saviour Jesus Christ and all of the work that He did and is still doing today.

I don't want to be a big brother today

But mom..... I want to be an only child again

Today AJ had a bad day. He was just in a mood. He has never done this before so it was quite surprising to me. He was just really whinny all day then at about 5 or 6pm he was back to his old self happy, smiling and playing. But everyday or so I try to get him to hold Erik, and he will for about 1min if that. Then he is done. Well I tried that today and he did not like it one bit. I was able to get a few pictures of it and I think it is the funniest thing ever. Every time I would put Erik in his lap he would start to cry. Then the second I would pick him up he would be fine.

TSO

Arli and I's anniversary was November 12. We went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra's winter tour concert last night and let me tell you it was the BEST!!! We had a blast. I am now officially a TSO fan. We had awesome seats too. We were on the floor and in the middle of the stage. They only come to Vegas once a year and I can tell you this I will be going back. It was so neat to hear these nice Christmas songs be rocked up a bit. They do a whole light show and pyrotechnics to go along with all of the songs. And not to mention...no babies!!! lol. I love my boys but Mommy and Daddy needed a night out without them. The only bad thing is you can not take a camera:( But I definitely recommend you go see these guys.

More pictures

So Erik is 2mo old! So I had to take more pictures. I think they turned out good. He is getting a little bit better at being photographed. Which is good cause I am a picturehollic.
