M&M cakes

In December for the family Christmas party I made a M&M cake. But on our way to Mesquite I realized I left it in our fridge. Since my family really wanted to try it I told them I would make my niece & nephews birthday cakes when I came up in Febuary. So I kept my word & made them cakes. I think they came out great!

New beds!!

Finally all of us got new beds!!! First was AJ. My mom got herself a new queen bed so she gave AJ her twin bed which meant that Erik was able to move out of the crib & into the toddler bed. Then when I was talking to a friend of mine about the boys' beds she mentioned that she had a king size sleep number bed for sale that she has been trying to get rid of for get this only $200!!! Since I watch her daughter a few days a week we did it for trade. And let me just say I love, love LOVE our new bed! The boys have absolutely loved their new beds too & to my surprise Erik has stayed in his bed!! And a side note on him he has not had any sleep apnea alarms since 2 months before getting the toddler bed. When it has gone off it has been because he has fallen out of bed or crawled out of bed. This is great! Now if he can just go 6 more months until his birthday then we can get rid of that thing until our next kids come along. :)

Erik in his new bed :)

This picture does not show the full extent of how many toys he actually had in his crib. I pulled 34 toys out of his crib this night & then the next morning I found 5 more toys between the bed & the wall! I guess he was a little lonely.

All of Febuary!

So I am getting kind of lazy so for the month of Feb. I will just do a picture post and recap.

We had a lot of fun this month! We took a family trip to Bonnie Springs and the boys LOVED it! We went up to the mountains and got to meet baby Adalee! And of course visit with all of the kids and family! Then later in the month my sister and her 2 kids came down and we had even more fun!

Erik petting the donkey

While my sister was here we thought it would be fun to take her 2 girls, my 2 boys & the little girl I babysit to Bonnie Springs. This was within 2weeks after Arli & I took the boys. Let me tell you we were way out numbered with 2 4yr olds & 3 2yr olds! But it was a TON of fun!

This is when we went up to the mountains to meet Adalee isn't she too cute! Erik was in love!

So tiny :)

A sunbeam a sunbeam!!!

Jesus wants me for a sunbeam!!!

So AJ became a sunbeam at the begining of the year! He has grown up so fast! Where did the time go? His first day was hard because he has a hard time with change. But as soon as I left for my class he was fine. Well not as soon he did scream for about 2 min. lol I felt bad but he has LOVED his class! And has learned SO much! He loves singing all of his songs and is getting really good. By the time the primary teaching comes around in October he will be a pro at them! I actually have a video of him singing them that I will post later.

Who needs toys????

When you have shoes!

AJ decided to line up the shoes and count them:) He really is learning alot in school!

And just cause I thought he was super cute! Erik runs from us after every bath. Never fails he will take off running as soon as he steps out of the tub. This night he thought it would be funny to grab a chuck e cheese crown. lol I cropped the picture but it he ran around like I am king of nudist ville. lol

Christmas 2010!

Christmas last year was so much fun! AJ really started understanding the whole Santa & presents thing. I think this year will be even better and he will know & understand the true meaning of Christmas. We of course had our anual Leavitt Christmas party & our trip to meet Santa. This year Erik HATED Santa! AJ was a little more comfy with him. At the family party we put on a Christmas play and AJ played the camel. Let me tell you he was the cutest camel I have and will ever see :)

Christmas day both boys of course got spoiled. But amazingly enough we spent about $75 less per kid this year but it looks like we spent that much more!

Here are a few highlights of our Christmas....

Santa came!!!

My mom gave them the train table :)

AJ's self haircut

So this happened the day before Thanksgiving. While I was making a pumpkin turkey as or center piece AJ thought it would be a good idea to use my scissors for a nice trim. Boy did he do a good job too. He cut so close to the scalp that I took the razor down to 1/4 of a in and you could still see that a small piece was shorter! If I were to even it out I would have had to go down to an 1/8 of an in!!! I mean I had more hair than this kid! lol He was not too happy when he saw himself in the mirror for the first time. He was sort of shocked and kept saying hair??? where hair go? I wish I would have taken a pic of his face

this is about a month before

our finished pumpkin turkey

doesn't he look SO proud?

Halloween 2010!

Ok so now that I have decided to update my blog I will start with Halloween. This year we had 7 yes 7 events to go to! It sure was one crazy week. We had AJ's class party, AJ's school trunk or treat, an event on the strip, the pumpkin patch with the achievement day girls, church trunk or treat and of course Halloween night. I guess that was only 6 but I could have sworn there was 7 oh well. The boys had fun and AJ went as Buzz Lightyear again except for the party on the strip where he wanted to be what Erik was which was Rex from Toy Story. Erik went as Rex for every event except our first one which was the pumpkin patch where he went as a knight.

They of course got way too much candy which I raided all the time and sadly just found some left over in the kitchen cupboard a few months ago which I of course threw right in the trash. I know sad. LOL

The boys ready for school TOT

AJ concentrating so hard on getting the bucket! This was on the strip

AJ about to hurl from Jayden spinning it too fast.

What is really funny is I have a time line from when he first started the ride and was happy to this picture.

My favorite of the 2 of them

So cute!

Erik's hair cut!

We finally had enough of Erik's hair always in his eyes so we decided to go get it cut. He looks so cute and handsome and just grown up. He lost his baby look:( Makes me want another. :)

After! Such a big difference

A hair stitch

While getting ready for church I hear a crash followed by a scream, of course this can not be good. So I run to get Erik and find him by AJ's bike with blood everywhere! He cut his head. I knew it needed stitches so we went to urgent care. Well since his hair was so long and his cut was not too deep the doctor did a hair stitch. He took a few strands of hair from each side of the cut, tied them together and then put a dab of derma bond on it to keep the knot together. Pretty neat and a lot less painful.

Erik turns 2!!!!

Wow! I can not believe Erik is already 2! He is such a wonderful, handsome, sneaky, cute, loveable little guy! He is such and joy to be around and FULL of energy! Seriously I do not know where he keeps it all. He is always on the go and is one of those kids who has to go outside at least once a day. He is also an eater! This kid can chow. I thought AJ was a good eater, but Erik makes AJ look like a skinny little bird. He is so into food that if anyone at the table goes for seconds he has to get seconds too. Even if his plate is full! Same goes with condiments. If he sees you put something on your food he thinks he is missing out and has to have some or he will scream. Some other fun facts about Erik are....

Eye Color- Brown
Hair Color-Brown
Height about 27in
Weight about 25lbs. (even though he feels like 30)

Likes-Eating, taking baths, playing with AJ, nursery, Mickey Mouse, Buzz, Iron man, getting into things he is not supposed to, emptying out the cabinets, climbing, playing at the park, swimming, he is one good swimmer! He can swim the length of our pool with just arm floaties! He also like to wrestle with Daddy and giving Mommy kisses.

I love this picture of us.

Dislikes-Diaper changes, bedtime, getting in trouble, and not getting what he wants when he wants it.

Erik can say-Daddy, drink, mickey(key), bye bye, hi, go, bed, buzz, and Uncle.

Most of the party guests.
I found these cupcakes online and just had to make them!

Erik's personal cake! I also made another mickey head that sat on top of a yellow 9x9 cake. So it looked like a big version of the cupcakes.

SPOILED ROTTEN!!!!

This is what happens on days where AJ was extra good at school, Erik eats lunch before AJ gets home, and Mommy is too tired to make a better more nutritious lunch.

And boy does he love every minute of it!

Pancake breakfast!

I do not know what is up with that smile.

AJ's school had a little pancake breakfast today. It worked out perfectly because it started at 7 and Arli had a different schedule for work that day. So I did not have to take both boys. It was kind of nice for it to just be AJ and I.
